Spring Blush and Pastel Wedding Flowers in West Sussex Barn

Updated: Mar 29, 2023

I first met with this lovely couple and their families on a cold afternoon in March , one year before their wedding. They were on their way from visiting Upwaltham Barns - West Sussex barn after they just booked their date with them. It was so exciting to meet everyone and to start planning their wedding flowers. We agreed that the floral arrangements should be seasonal, perfect for a Spring Country wedding. With blossom, narcissus, tulips, ranunculus, roses, viburnum. All the pastels and pretty that the season has to offer. The Bride wore beautiful gown with floral embroidery and the bridesmaids were in dusky blush floor length dresses. So pretty and romantic floral arrangement were the way to go.

The wedding flowers were very important to the couple and we wanted to make sure they get the most floral gorgeousness for their budget. The ceremony was in the most beautiful country church in Duncton village. And we have created a stunning floral arch way for the church entrance. Greenery trailing pew ends to decorate the aisle and for the ceremony near the altar there were 2 pedestal floral arrangements full of spring flowers, blossom and seasonal foliage.

After the ceremony, we have transported the floral arch to Upwaltham Barns. These things are always easier said than done, but it was certainly worth the hard work. And most importantly we have re-purposed the floral arch at the venue to create another striking floral display.

The floral decor for the reception was designed in keeping with the Spring Floral theme. Fresh floral table centres with moss, eclectic collection of vintage glass and earthenware. Completed by tall tapered dinner candles in pastel colours and tea lights. All details were carefully curated to emphasise the enchanted atmosphere of the Spring evening. For me the table styling and accessories are as important as the flowers themselves. It is certainly something that should be considered and budgeted for. Do ask your caterer for options on linen, napkins, cutlery and glassware. We will then supply the perfect florals, candle holders and tea lights. Everything should be curated to work in beautiful harmony. Seeing everything come together on the day, is one of my favourite elements of the whole process.
