This beautiful feature has to be one my favourite floral schemes. We were inspired by the Italian outdoor weddings, but wanted to introduce our own twist that would echo British early summer, when greenery is abundant. The Hever Castle gardens are a stunning example of the amazing garden tradition that the British are renowned for and I think we have merge the 2 worlds wonderfully.
I believe that you should create your own version of everything and when it comes to wedding flowers, it's especially true. Get inspired by the season, the venue and beautiful imagery that is a plenty all around you when you start planning your wedding. But then let your florist create something unique that is a true representation of you as a couple.
How beautiful is this setting. The tulle blush pink gown is just like a cloud on a summer's evening and I really loved the green velvet jacket that the groom wore. It brought an elegant moment to the look. The florals were green lush foliage of the early summer, mixed in with pink blush and deeper pink tones, hints of apricot and lilac. In the bouquet, I have used ranunculus, garden roses, lilac, orchid, sweet peas, solomon's seal, bells and hellebores. It was a beautiful naturally shaped bridal bouquet with organic shape and garden inspired styling.
The rustic wood trestle table | styled by Emma form Something Blue | was dressed with silk runners, table wear and accessories from Duchess&Butler all in green, gold and blush colour-palette. We have used Ester&Eric candles and vessels with aged gold sheen. The crossed back chairs were the perfect accessory to the overall styling. Just imagine the twinkling lights on the table after dusk, creating a wonderful atmosphere, lanterns dotted all around the walled garden and gentle music playing in the background. All that's missing is the champagne!
